Let me introduce ourselves.

Our Names are; Scott Prentice & Angela Hynd.
We are era Art & Illustration, two qualified illustrators -to HND level - based in the south side of Glasgow, where we run our own home/studio.

• We are a partnership that provides a complete service within the production of visual images, to your specification.
  

We work both traditionally using a variety of mediums such as; watercolour, gouache, acrylic, pastel or pen & ink but we also enjoy using more modern techniques in computer image generation and image manipulation, using our G3 power Mac.
Both of us are currently writing and illustrating our own Children’s books and also have a keen interest in Photography and Animation.

• Our artwork can be supplied in a variety of file formats, such as; JPEG, PICT, BMP, TIFF, etc on; CD-ROM, ZIP disk, 3.5’ floppy disk or high quality six colour 1440-D.P.I. printout.
  

We have included some samples of our work, however if you wish to view our portfolio which encapsulates the diversity of subject and style we can put our hands to, it is available on CD-ROM or in the form of a 32 page A4 booklet.

Our partnership will provide a complete service within the production of visual images for our clients. This will entail many elements from; The initial contact, through communicating the needs and expectations of the client (forming of the brief), interim stage meetings where style concepts or alterations can be discussed, to the production of finished artwork that can be delivered in a large variety of formats ready for print. We can ourselves also produce a hardcopy print up to 1400 d.p.i. quality, (fine art print quality).

Our client will be able to contact us at any point via telephone or e-mail to check progress and can receive a fax, JPEG or GIF of roughs at any point in the production process thus maintaining their confidence and satisfaction. We are hoping to purchase an ISDN facility and can then send high quality images anywhere almost instantly.

Our pricing policy and terms of trade to customers:
Our customers will buy a Licence for use when commissioning artwork or they will buy Copyright Ownership, eg rather than owning the image a contract is written stating the type of use allowed.


The Results of our Market research:
Trends have begun to change in our favour, where in the past companies relied solely on photographs for a quick image there has now been a move towards photo enhancement or special effect images that few photographers can supply. An illustrator can produce the whole image or manipulate an existing one.
Many companies now use illustrations to enhance their packaging where once a clear simple product design was all that was required.
